Design preference


In the game, our character will move on a grid in a specific pattern. For instance, (1,0,0) represents a pattern that can be altered with the bot the character uses. The weapon the character employs will also have such a pattern, and this time, the numbers in this pattern will determine the damage dealt during the character's turn. My question is: Do you think it makes more sense for these items to be obtained from a chest or a creature (mob), or would it be more logical for them to be acquired by navigating the map and picking up an item?
